With this add-on, you can provide financial aid for your loved ones as well as make donations to a charity organisation of your choice.

Upon your passing, we’ll pay 100% of the sum covered of your base plan to your family.
Donate to charity organisations
A portion of the sum covered for this add-on will be donated to a charity organisation of your choice.
Global coverage
Wherever your passing may be, your family can still earn the sum covered as your death benefit.
Surrender benefit
In the event of surrender, you'll receive a refund of all unutilised contributions under certain conditions.

FWD Term Rider is a regular contribution paying rider that provides pure protection cover. FWD Term Rider is attachable to all Agency plans excluding FWD Family First.
FWD Term Rider provides additional benefit in a lump sum in the event of death of the person covered. This rider allows you to donate a minimum of 10% of the sum covered to charity organizations, upon benefit payment. You can choose up to 2 charity organizations. FWD takaful will arrange the donations on your behalf.
Yes. The product is approved by our Shariah committee. We adopt the following shariah principles:
- Tabarru’: A donation for the purpose of takaful where participants agree to assist each other financially.
- Wakalah: The contract where the participant appoints the Takaful Operator to manage the participants’ risk fund and agrees to pay the Takaful Operator on a pre-agreed basis for the services provided.
- Ju'alah: It’s the reward to the Takaful Operator for the good performance of the participants’ risk fund it’ll be managing. The Takaful Operator will be rewarded with a 50% share of the surplus from the participants’ risk fund and the remaining 50% will be distributed to participants.
- Qard: An interest-free loan that we grant to the participants’ risk fund if it’s in deficit. The loan is repayable from the future surplus arising in the participants’ risk fund.
The rider coverage term will be equal to or less than basic coverage term and subject to a minimum of 5 years or up to the maximum of the maturity date of the basic plan.
