Fulfil your spiritual pilgrimage while being protected
As a Muslim, we know you’d like to perform your Hajj or Umrah at least once in your lifetime. But you may not be prepared financially should any unfortunate things happen before or during your trip. This is why our takaful add-on can help you perform your obligations at peace. With this rider, you can get covered for any death and total & permanent disability that happens before, during, or after your pilgrimage trip.

Coverage upon death or total and permanent disability on any cause
Get a 100% add-on sum covered upon death or total and permanent disability (TPD) on any cause. This add-on will get you covered even before you perform your pilgrimage.
Cash benefit for your pilgrimage
With this add-on, you can get pocket money to be used for your Hajj or Umrah. Get regular cash payment of 3% of rider sum covered payable every 2 years, and you can also get RM2,000 cash allowance before or after your trip.
Higher amount of coverage for death or total and permanent disability during your pilgrimage
We’ll give you more coverage if an incident happens during your pilgrimage. During your Hajj or Umrah, get a higher amount of sum covered for death or total and permanent disability due to natural cause, accidental cause, or accidental cause in public conveyance/elevator/car/building
Spouse compassionate benefit
Upon the death of spouse during Hajj or umrah, get benefit of 50% rider sum covered or RM100,000, whichever is lower.
Coverage for death from MERS virus
On top of other coverage, you can also get an additional 100% rider sum covered if death is from the MERS virus.

FWD Hajj Rider is a regular contribution paying rider that offers comprehensive takaful solutions should the unexpected happen to you as you perform your Hajj or umrah. Person Covered will get indemnity benefits should total & permanent disability (TPD) or death occur. Add this rider to either FWD Invest First or FWD Future First.
The contribution depends on the following factors:
- Age at start of certificate
- Gender of the Person Covered
- Smoker/non-smoker status
- Rider certificate coverage term
- Rider Sum Covered
Your coverage will begin from the commencement date as stated in your FWD Hajj Rider takaful schedule.
- Only one of these benefits shall be payable under this rider: death or TPD, death or TPD during Hajj or umrah, or death from MERS virus.
- For death from MERS virus, the diagnosis must be made within 21 days after returning from Hajj or umrah.
- Only one spouse is entitled to the Spouse Compassionate Benefit and is claimable only once throughout the rider coverage term.
- The first Regular Cash Payment will be payable on the rider’s 2nd certificate anniversary provided that all due contributions are collected.
- Cash Allowance Benefit can only be claimed up to RM10,000 and only once a year throughout the rider certificate term after 24 months of waiting period.
No, each certificate can only be attached to one FWD Hajj rider.
