Raising children, especially ones with learning disabilities requires a lot of support. FWD SpecialCare Direct provides benefits for both parents and children, making it an easy but comprehensive solution for protection.
We'll pay the sum covered upon the passing of either the child or the parent. If your death is due to an accident, the child will receive 150% of the sum.
Total sum coverage
We'll pay the lump sum benefit to you upon your child turning 18 years old.
Total and permanent disability (TPD) benefit
Receive the sum covered when you are diagnosed with a TPD. If TPD is due to an accident, receive 150% of the sum covered.
Waiver of contribution
We ensure that your child remains covered upon your passing or you being diagnosed with total and permanent disability.

Who can participate in this plan?
This product is offered to individuals with learning disabilities associated with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Tourette’s Syndrome or attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) who are:
registered with Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat (JKM) and are issued with or holds an OKU card; or
verified or certified by the Medical Officer or Government Hospital or Psychiatric Private Specialist
Can I participate in more than one plan?
We only offer one takaful certificate per customer. However, you can cover multiple children under this plan, up to RM100,000 per life.
How long will it take for a claim to be processed?
It takes up to 7 working days from the date when the complete/full documents are received.
Is there any waiting period under this plan for Certificate Owner?
Yes, a waiting period of one (1) year is applicable to the Certificate Owner. We'll not pay any death or total permanent disability benefit if the claim arises due to non-accidental causes within one (1) year from the issue date or reinstatement date of the certificate.
Under what circumstances will my certificate be terminated?
Your certificate will be terminated based on the following situation, whichever comes first.
Upon the death of the Person Covered; or
Upon your request to surrender (terminate) your certificate; or
The expiry date of the certificate; or
The end of 60-days grace period, if we do not receive your contribution before then.
